Summary:
Natural Disasters are not something to joke about. Natural disasters can cause millions in dollars in damage. Some types of natural disasters are tornadoes, wildfires, hurricanes, tsunamis, blizzards,
thunderstorms, and earthquakes. I will explain some of them now. Wildfires - Wildfires are known as forest fires, wild-land fire, bush fire, etc, are big unconstrained/uncontrolled fires that are fueled by vegetation. Wild fires mostly occur in areas with a lot of vegetation, and are very likely to start in areas with dry vegetation. Wildfires normally happen in dry, hot areas which have conditions such as droughts(droughts can help because if it's a place with vegetation (green or dry) (such as California) the fire has lots of brush to burn through). Wild fires form when the air pressure is high which causes sunny days. The reason it can't form when the air pressure is low is because the air is moist and it is most likely raining. Wildfires are mostly prone to areas with hot, dry climates which have an abundance of vegetation. Hurricanes - Hurricanes are storms with destructive and violent winds. For a hurricane to form, the water temperature must be at least 80 degrees Fahrenheit or above, and the water must give out enough energy to support a higher amount of water being evaporated. When hurricanes start, they are mostly just tropical disturbances, but they then become into massive storms. The fierce winds of a hurricane also help sustain hurricanes. This is done by a type of hurricane called a super cell hurricane. Super cell hurricanes are technically a vortex of destructive winds. Super cell hurricanes also spin like tornadoes, so they are also known as rotating hurricanes. Hurricanes form only on water because of the conditions they require. Hurricanes mostly form on the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. Thunderstorms - A thunderstorm is when a storm has thunder, lightning, and sometimes hail and/or rain. Lightning is formed by the separation of particles and the generation of electric fields. Within a cloud, frozen raindrops clash into each other. These clashes create electric charges which fill up the cloud. Thunder is the sound of lightning. Tornadoes - Tornadoes are swirling vortexes of air. Tornadoes are created by super cell hurricanes when warm and cold air combine and make the cold air drop and warm air rise. The warm air eventually starts to twist and swirl and creates a funnel cloud which turns into a tornado.

SP3 - I finished collecting data with my partner Miles. We collected data on the natural disasters I listed earlier tornadoes, wildfires, hurricanes, tsunamis, blizzards, thunderstorms, and earthquakes.
This data will be needed to create an argument. We will have to use evidence (our data) to support our claim. Our task will be to find the safest place in America using the data we collected on all of the severe weather patterns, then explain why it is the safest place. Our goal is to convince the audience why we think that the place we find is the safest place in America. We would have to include at least 3 of the severe weather patterns we found, and will have to try to use as much evidence we can to persuade the audience that *place we choose* is the safest place in America. The information will be used to present to an audience and convince them, and and also to make an advertisement to stait our claim.
